Tracking Family: Silicon Valley

When my family moved to California, I relied on Google Maps to navigate our unfamiliar surroundings. At the same time, I began documenting our daily routines, following where each of us traveled over several weeks and assigning every family member a different color.

I layered these routes into drawings that show where our movements overlapped, separated, and crossed again. The resulting lines create a visual rhythm of school, work, errands, and home. Together, they form a portrait of family life during a period of transition, revealing how our individual movements created a shared pattern across Silicon Valley.
